Crowds flock to 2018 Hibernian Races

Perfect weather made for another great day trackside at the 2018 Hibernian Charity Race Day. Fans of all ages turned out to Beaudesert’s racecourse, enjoying the entertainment on offer.

Between the thrilling on track action, including a bastion of winter country racing – the stayers Hibernian Cup, racing of a different kind took place. Yabby racing has earned it’s place as a traditional crowd favourite at the annual raceday – all the proceeds going to the Cancer Council.

While the live entertainment, raffles and great company makes for a great day out, it wouldn’t be a raceday without fashions. The parade gave punters a chance to showoff their outfits. The judges made their decision, and the for the first time the crowd also got their say in crowning the best dressed woman and man.

But ‘Racing for Charity’ is the slogan, and thousands were raised for cancer thanks to generous donations from racegoers and sponsors.
